Responsibilities
Provide clinical services in coordination with the treatment team consistent with Wild Hearts Treatment Center’s Standards of Care and the 12-Core functions of alcohol and drug counseling. Development of clinical competency and ethical practice.
- Analyze, integrate, synthesize, and practice professionalism in clinical placement
- Analyze, integrate, synthesize, and practice assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Analyze, integrate, synthesize, and practice theory- and evidence based methods to implement interventions
- Analyze, integrate, synthesize, and practice ethical principles in clinical practice
- Analyze, integrate, synthesize, and practice multiculturalism in clinical practice
- Complete development activities checklist
- Prepare and present a Lecture
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a student at the time of practicum or internship, meaning enrolled in a program for alcohol and drug counseling at an accredited educational institution. As a minimum, the applicant must have completed classes that address the three following areas:
- Assessment and Diagnosis for Substance Use Disorders (SUD)
- Counseling Procedures and Skills
- Group Counseling Skills
